The Process

1. Discoverin'

Every branding project begins with a discovery call!

This is the perfect opportunity to learn more about your brand & answer any questions you may have before we embark on our design journey together.

After you're happy to go forward, you will gain access to your new Client Portal!

 

2. Researchin'

After discovering more about your brand, I will conduct research. During this time I'll look into your industry, competitors & audience. This will help to strategise and will inform the creative direction of your branding.

3.Designin'

The exciting part! I will start to design one concept that best reflects your goals & brief. 

 

4. Launchin'

It's finally time to launch! Once you are happy with your new branding, we'll equip you with your branding files appropriate for print & digital.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I book in with you?
    If you are interested in any services not listed or wanting to pre book an Acuity or E-commerce website, please complete our enquiry form. This will allow you to detail what service you're interested in. If we're a good fit, you'll receive an email from me within 24-48 hours with a proposal!
  • How do I submit information?
    For bookings, you'll receive a link to your Client Portal where information can be submitted.
  • Do you print?
    Unfortunately not, however we can suggest print vendors.
  • Can I pay a deposit/ Do you offer payment plans?
    For Website design projects only, we accept a 50% non-refundable deposit. The remaining total will be due when the project is complete.
  • When can I expect my order to be done?
    Graphic services - 5-7 business days to complete. E-commerce Websites - 4-6 weeks Booking sites - 7-10 business days Branding - 10-15 business days We offer 48 hours & 72 hours turnarounds for Graphic Services. This is subject to availability
  • Can I cancel?
    Yes, however please be aware that all services and digital products are non-refundable. You will only receive a refund if Erika The Designer is unable to work on your project (this does not include failure for you to provide adequate information or ghosting Erika at any stage of the project.)
  • What is an e-commerce website?
    An e-commerce website is any website that allows the buying and selling of physical and/or digital products. We currently offer Squarespace and Shopify websites only.
  • Can I start a project without images/videos or written copy?
    Unfortunately not. These are crucial to the design process. We stress the importance of being organised during this time (on both sides!) So that your project can run smoothly and we can provide the best results, please have all images, videos and text ready by the agreed start date. If not, it may be best to reschedule the project to a later date (restart fee may apply).
  • How many revisions am I entitled to and what does that include?
    Graphic Services (including Acuity): For graphic services you will receive 5 free revisions per design. This includes each minor change to your design. Website: Website packages include 1 round of revisions per page, with additional changes charged at my hourly rate I kindly ask all clients to not rush their design form and provide accurate information.
  • How long do I have to submit information?
    I strongly advise that you are information ready before you book in with me, especially for larger projects. Graphics (including Acuity): I allow a maximum of 3 business days (excluding weekends) for you to provide information required for your project after payment. Any later will be subject to a late submission fee of £25 to continue with the project. No exceptions. Websites: We will agree to a start date which all material must be submitted by. If material isn't submitted on time the project will be rescheduled to a later date with a restart fee applied I understand that things may get busy, or unforeseen circumstances, however it is important that we stay on track and each other's time is respected. If I cannot get a hold of you within 10 days, your project will be at risk of termination and require you to rebook
  • How can I communicate with you?
    We kindly ask that all communication concerning your project is kept via email iamerikathedesigner@gmail.com or within you client portal. We try our best to reply to DMs, however we receive a high volume daily.
  • What is a client portal?
    A client portal is a central hub for your project where you can: Submit information Provide feedback Track your project’s progress View drafts Receive final files Pay invoices Client portals are used for website, brand identities and larger projects
  • I live in the US / outside of the UK, can I still book in?
    Of course! When booking, please change the currency for more accurate pricing. Please note that all invoices will be sent in British Pounds(GBP). Under no circumstances can another currency be requested. Please be aware that exchange rates fluctuate. We recommend using a currency exchange website to check the current exchange rate for your currency: https://www.xe.com/
  • I don’t know what I need. Can you help?
    Yes! If you aren’t sure where to begin, we strongly recommend booking in a consultation call with us. This call is for 30 minutes, priced at £25
  • What are your hours of operation?
    Mon-Fri 10am-6:30pm[GMT]. This does not include weekends and UK public holidays. No projects will be worked on or e-mails sent on these days
  • What files will I be sent?
    Print designs - PDF A la Carte - PNG Logo Designs & Branding - SVG(vector), PNG(transparent background) & JPEG in black and white, and 2 colour variations
  • Can I book in advance?
    Yes! Client booking sites and e-commerce websites can be booked in advance. We only accept 1-2 e-commerce sites & 4-5 booking sites per month
  • What is a booking website?
    A booking website allows clients to book in services with you at a specific time and date. Currently we work with Acuity Scheduling sites, however, we are open to working with Gloss Genius, and Square. Please feel free to enquire!
  • Do you keep files?
    Do you keep files? Files are kept for a maximum of 30 days after receiving before they are deleted unless you are a retainer or regular client. If you require any changes to files sent any later than this, you’ll need to re-book the service. Any changes needed before 30 days will be subject to a £25 fee per design service. Drastic changes (changing the concept of the design), will require you to re-book.
